Today we started by playing the "shuffle the timeline cards into the right order" game and then discussed some of the details (what/so-what) of each. Next, I reviewed the steps Marx thought would occur in his economic/social view of society's development. This can be found in more detail on p. 23 of Falk. We also did a quick overview of yesterday's homework assignment looking at the political spectrum of Russia at this time. I noted the parties/groups that you should focus on learning. I also gave a brief overview of some of Lenin's steps prior to the March Revolution, and leading to the November Revolution.
I asked that you go to the Spartacus website and research at least two key people or events that we've mentioned in order to get a more detailed understanding. Don't worry so much about the pre-1905 events/people, or the philosophers, but the events around 1917 are important
